The problem

Puma briefed us to create a display that celebrates the Manchester City 22/23 Home Kit along with being easily adaptable for future kit designs. Given minimal space within the Club Shop zone, we needed to maximise impact and develop design guidance for an adjacent Manchester United display, to reflect the rivalry between these local teams, but create a cohesive aesthetic.

The solution

Taking inspiration from Manchester City’s iconic Etihad Stadium and the round club crest, circular forms with integrated blue illumination create a striking and highly recognisable design. The design features a rotating mannequin which attracts and really showcases the kit, along with wrap around lightboxes with images of club heroes wearing the new kit to excite the fans.

The result

The design of the free-standing display allows flexibility within the space, whilst the colour changing lighting and interchangeable graphics can be easily adapted to match new kit designs displayed on the mannequin in the future. The display sits in front of a wall of Manchester City merchandise to act as a beacon to entice customers into the area.
