Creating an educational centrepiece for
Ochsner running

The problem

We were approached by Nike to design a new piece of retail furniture for Ochsner’s running shoe department. The challenge was to create a unit that would educate shoppers on the different types of running shoe and their individual benefits. Our KPI’s were to increase engagement time and Nike shoe sales, and improve the O2O experience by directing customers online.

The solution

The solution was an NFC integrated lift and learn table that allowed shoppers to learn about the benefits of trail, road and track Nike shoes and compare models. QR codes linked shoppers to view the best running routes in the local area, watch expert product reviews and shop the product online.

The result

Working with a number of delivery partners, we designed the physical unit, software and microsite and provided creative direction for the content capture. In testing the results spoke for themselves, with 46% of shoppers within the area interacting with the unit. Over the same period the sales of Nike running shoes achieved +79% growth.
