Welcome to your weekly dose of TooXToo, this week featuring Hermes’ Gym pop-up, ONE/SECOND/SUIT, the Disappearing package, and Bottega Veneta’s Bondi Takeover…

Hérmes Gym Pop-up

Brooklyn has just become the home of a new pop-up unveiled by Hérmes called HérmesFit. It is a one-of-a-kind luxury experience that allows customers to book exercise classes, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in the brand whilst releasing some good old endorphins.

The pop-up features gym inspired features and aesthetics, as well as Hérmes accessories, a photobooth, climbing wall, and even a juice bar. This store offers a holistic fitness experience for Brooklyn’s gym bunnies.

Hérmes Gym Pop-upHérmes fans and shoppers have the option to take part in classes that feature Hermès scarves, which have been incorporated onto boxing bags. For all the jewellery addicts out there- there is even an exclusive experience to participate in called the “kickboxing with bracelets” class, which includes the Hermès’ classic enamel Clic Clac bangle designs.

Fancy upgrading your gym experience? This pop-up will have you Bicep curling with a leather wallet instead of a barbell…

Hérmes is well and truly elevating the customer experience by combining a desire for wellbeing with fashion. Perhaps HérmesFit will take hold in London… if we’re lucky.

ONE/SECOND/SUIT

Consumers are leaning towards rental post-pandemic as a more sustainable, and convenient option to get their hands on the products they desire.

This is one for the men who are looking to swap cosy for classy on a temporary basis… The well-known fashion brand H&M has announced its first rental clothing service ONE/SECOND/SUIT. It was originally designed for those individuals needing a suit last minute for a job interview, and wants to help open more doors and boost confidence during job interviews.

ONE/SECOND/SUIT

The confidence-boosting, sustainable initiative from H&M launched in the UK in April and is now gaining traction in the US. To promote H&M’s latest dip into rental clothing, ONE/SECOND/SUIT created a short film to explore the self-doubt and stress that individuals experience on the day of a big interview.

"Job interviews can be a nerve-wracking experience," Sara Spännar, head of marketing & communications at H&M, said in a statement. "But we believe nothing should hold you back. Least of all what you wear."

The Disappearing Package

Yes, you read that correctly- a package that disappears. Amelia Sjöberg from Sweden’s Lund University has designed an innovative packaging solution for eco-vigilant consumers.

The packaging designed by Sjöberg is made from a temporarily water-resistant detergent that dissolves at 40 degrees in your washing machine.

The Disappearing PackageFour concepts were developed to reduce the unnecessary waste that comes from buying, and then washing clothes:

  1. Using less materials,

  2. Using compostable materials,

  3. Finding a second usage and,

  4. Leaving no traces.

The design of the package itself reflects second usage and explains to consumers how to recycle it. Sjöberg has targeted the second-hand company, Sellpy to debut her eco-conscious innovation- as pre-used clothes can encourage customers to recycle the package together with the clothing in the washing machine.

Putting thought back into not just clothes shopping, but washing too- a commendable effort to combat environmental degradation.

Bottega Veneta’s Bondi Takeover

What a stunt. Bottega Veneta has taken over the Bondi Icebergs, covering the entire floor of its infamous swimming pool with a shot taken as part of their Salon 02 campaign.

The impressive image features Dede Mansro and was photographed by Tyrone Lebon. Although, to experience the full impact of this impressive takeover you really need to see it from above… The pool design was accompanied by other Sydney takeovers- including digital billboards and street box panels.

Bondi locals and content creators or influencers have been flocking to the Bottega-themed pool to capture new-season styles, and updated cult accessories – set against the dramatic backdrop underwater.

Bottega Veneta’s Bondi Takeover

Bottega Veneta’s Salon 02 collection was unveiled last April to a group of friends of the designer Daniel Lee, at the most famous nightclub in Berlin, Berghain. Leading on from its launch, this November takeover aims to celebrate this collection and has made a splash overseas in Australia.
