Brookfield
Scalable wayfinding
We developed a scalable wayfinding system for Brookfield’s Equinox campus, creating clear, intuitive navigation and establishing a benchmark signage framework for future developments across the wider portfolio.
The Problem
Equinox is a 10-acre, four-tower office park located in Mumbai’s BKC, offering over 1.3 million sq. ft. of leasable space and housing a high-profile tenant mix. With multiple entry points, vertical circulation cores, and a large daily user base, the campus required a clear and intuitive wayfinding system that could simplify movement across its expansive environment.
As the first project to implement Brookfield’s new wayfinding guidelines, the system also needed to be standardised, scalable, and reflective of Brookfield’s people-focused and innovative brand ethos. In parallel, Brookfield required a centralised signage directory system that could be consistently applied across its wider portfolio.
The Solution
We developed a cohesive and user-friendly wayfinding framework rooted in Brookfield’s new standards, ensuring consistency across entrances, towers, lobbies, amenities, and vehicular circulation routes. A unified visual language — spanning colour, typography, iconography, and materials — creates clarity and warmth while reinforcing the Brookfield brand identity.
Alongside the site-specific implementation, we designed a standardised signage directory system that could be seamlessly adapted across Brookfield’s broader portfolio, enabling long-term consistency and efficient deployment across future developments.
The Result
The new wayfinding system delivers clarity, consistency, and ease of movement throughout the Equinox campus, helping visitors and occupants navigate confidently and intuitively.
Equinox now serves as the benchmark project for Brookfield’s wayfinding standards, while the accompanying signage directory system provides a scalable foundation for future rollouts across other Brookfield developments. Together, they strengthen Brookfield’s position as an innovative, welcoming, and user-centric developer.
