Crafting comfort: a multipurpose social space

We were appointed to design a comfortable social lounge, bar and restaurant, The Union Social, within The Gantry hotel. The space needed to feel relaxed yet luxurious; utilised as both a workspace and a bar and dining venue.

Divided into several versatile eating and drinking areas, Union Social is designed to suit different tastes, appetites and needs. Each area boasts unique furniture styles, vibrant colours, and an array of materials, resulting in an eclectic ambiance. The venue comprises a lounge bar, terrace, restaurant, and conservatory, providing guests with a relaxing environment to indulge in a wide selection of food and beverages all day and night.

The styles and decor are grounded in the industrial past, but with a contemporary and optimistic look to the future. Concrete, glass and aged copper form the backbone of the design, with layers of texture helping to define each area.
