We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate/Junior Motion Graphics Designer to join our team in Melbourne.

You will play a key supporting role within the Motion Graphics team, working across many types of projects and clients, using your creative skills to craft small projects and support larger ones.

Good initiative and a proactive approach are crucial within this role.

You will be on a 2-year professional development programme that will develop your creative skills, use of design applications, presentation and time management skills, and other skills relevant to working in a busy design studio. Once the 2-year PDP is completed you’ll move into our full appraisal system and continue to work with a greater degree of autonomy through various projects.

This role is full-time, Monday – Friday.

Experience

You will play a key supporting role within the Digital and Client Services teams, working across many types of digital projects and clients. You will be responsible for the management of all individual projects or accounts that are assigned to you. You will ensure that accounts are delivered effectively on time and on budget and that the client relationship is well maintained.

As our Commercial Director, you will have a background in business analysis roles or maybe an entrepreneurial Finance Director (or possibly special projects management). You will play a key role in providing strategic and financial guidance to the company working with a respected long-standing team in Finance, HR, and Resource Planning with the aim of driving commercial performance. You will focus on improving agency efficiency and profitability by analysing team reports, proposing initiatives to the board, and implementing improvements.

You will work closely alongside the Managing Director and Accountants to improve our numbers, tax plan and use our reserves effectively.

You will oversee the company’s Finance, HR, and Resource Planning functions with a total staff of 7.

Working with some of the world’s leading brands and retailers, the Senior Communications Planner will be the architect of our integrated campaigns. They will connect the worlds of ideas and media, working closely with our client services and creative teams and our client’s media agencies to ensure our creative ideas are properly integrated across the relevant channels to meet our campaign objectives and client needs.

Successful candidates will combine the ability to think both creatively and analytically and to translate an idea to the appropriate channels, helping to ensure that final execution maximises the creative impact through its use of media.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead day-to-day comms planning across a variety of accounts, playing a key role in building trusted relationships with clients
  • Work alongside Strategy and Creative leads to ensure our creative ideas make the most effective use of an integrated mix of owned, earned, and paid channels, and are deployed via innovative, targeted media and technology
  • Partner closely with the clients’ owned channel teams to ensure that the idea is executed seamlessly across social, PR, and .com channels
  • Work with media agency partners on key accounts to ensure that our ideas are executed through the proper mix of paid/owned/earned channels
  • Work with Strategists and UX Designers to develop consumer journeys for each campaign or activation
  • Determine the communications tasks for each campaign and write task briefs that guide messaging and execution tailored for each channel
  • Create measurable campaign KPI’s, helping to enhance creative effectiveness and improve the sell rate of innovative ideas
  • Read and analyse campaign metrics and leverage insights from data to improve comms effectiveness
  • Responsible for demonstrating an understanding of consumer behaviours within media, and a working knowledge of media relevant to the client’s business including TV, digital, social, experiential, print, OOH, and search
  • Showcase an understanding of digital, social, and emerging platforms and technologies
  • Participate in new business pitches

Experience

  • Around 6 or so years of experience in a comms planning, media planning, digital strategy, or a social planning role; expertise in developing digital, social, and experiential marketing plans a big plus
  • Experience in an advertising, digital or media agency (or a combination of all three)
  • Experience with integrated advertising campaigns across multiple media channels and the ability to demonstrate its impact on the brand
  • Experience analysing campaign performance and an understanding of the role analytics plays in selling and measuring ideas (including Google Analytics as a tool)
