A truly One-Off Christmas Card…

This year we wanted to make a truly ‘one off’ Christmas card for our clients and partners. So, we were challenged to create a completely unique festive treat. Our inspirationDALL·E 2 is a new AI system developed by Open AI, that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language. When this incredible bit of code was open sourced in December it meant that we could use it to experiment, and then within our own campaigns. Upon learning that this platform had the potential to create an astonishing 16,777,216^1048576 potential images, we knew that using DALL·E 2 was the way to create something totally one of a kind.We used DALL·E 2 to build our own Christmas card generator, which created completely unique images and greetings messages from a super quick and easy prompt in the 12 days leading up to Christmas Day. In this way – we were hot off the mark, and one of the very first users to use the platform in the way we did. Artificial minds together with human ones…We used the generator to raise money for the UK based mental health charity Mind, with each card having a suggested donation of £1 accompanying it. DALL·E 2 represented an artificial mind, which helped us raise money for human ones – a nice touch, we thought. The concept behind our one-off Christmas cards demonstrated the value to be found when human creativity intersects with technological advancements. The Results?
