The Gantry
Brand identity
The Gantry is an iconic, design-led hotel in Stratford, London, and part of the Hilton Curio group. As well as designing the public spaces in the hotel, and the digital experience, we also needed to create a brand identity. Drawing inspiration from 1930s typography and the building itself, we developed an iconic brand identity that could live up to the high standards of the guests.
The shapes and forms reflected in the brand identity echo that of the building itself. And the colour palette is inspired by Stratford’s industrial past – the coppers of the steam train boilers, combined with a stucco blue that‘s reflective of the oxidation process. Simple, art deco-inspired icon design and typography ensure a consistent aesthetic wherever you encounter the brand, whether in-person or online.
A big part of the brand’s expression is how it supports local communities. With this in mind, we partnered with Shoreditch-based Jealous Gallery to curate a selection of original artworks, ranging from murals to neon art throughout the hotel’s public spaces.
