Universal Works Retail Store

Following the completion of the rebrand, Universal Works found the perfect London location to open their first store, Lambs Conduit Street. We created a store based around the brand image of honest, crafted and universal design. Complete with a large anamorphic graphic on two walls and the ceiling and bespoke furniture also designed by The One Off. The store is trading now so be sure to pop in if you're near by.

Universal Works

Universal Works Brand and Identity

We were approached by Universal Works, an independent quality menswear brand to realign the brand and identity with its core values. Our solution was to produce an identity through a uniquely kerned rendition of Akzidenz-Grotesk, an early sans-serif typeface dating back to 1896. Alongside this, we created a mark crafted from the brand initials to provides an abbreviated form of the identity and a colour palette which was flexible in its approach to reflect the cyclical trends of the fashion world.

Millies

Retail Interiors

We revived a tired brand, including its identity, consumer communications and environment; adding personality, whilst communicating with the young female consumer audience.

A proposition that has the core offer of cookies at the front and centre, whilst commercially communicating the additional offers of coffee and ice cream. The concept is now being tested in Edinburgh and Derby, with a roll out across the existing estate to follow soon.

Homesense

In-store Experience

Homesense is a contemporary retail environment designed for smart shoppers who want high quality homeware products at low prices. The One Off designed the in-store experience working collaboratively with the in-house team to deliver the full store concept including a 1,000sqft mock shop in just two months.

The new concept has been implemented in seven UK cities including; Cardiff, Poole, Northampton, Manchester Thurrock and Bristol The largest store being an 18,000 sq ft store split over two levels at St Oswalds Retail Park in Gloucester.

T-Mobile

Small Format Stores

T-Mobile appointed The One Off to develop a small format store concept. Key to this was the development of a new modular unitary system to suit small format stores.

Existing operational and commercial requirements were combined with new ideas on merchandising and layout to create a new concept that was on brand and in harmony with existing retail principles.

Moneycorp

New Retail Environment

The One Off were appointed to develop a new retail environment for Moneycorp's bureau de change following a re brand in 2011.

Our challenge was to create a point of difference from competitors, taking a fresh approach to the design that would transcend high street and airport locations. Our design featured a bright and durable material palette with the integration of key recognisable brand elements, such as the bespoke table lighting. The new concept has been implemented in Gatwick South terminal.

Speedo

Stratford Retail Interior

A small store with a big personality. Located a stone’s throw from the London Olympic Aquatic Centre this store has a lot to do in a small format.

The water theme was emphasized here to give impact and was coupled with a centrally located bespoke mannequin stand to give this store a point of difference. iPads are an integral part of the design to drive web sales and brand awareness.

Barclays

Barclays Piccadilly: Being: London

We designed a number of customer experiences within Barclays new Piccadilly flagship store. The installations aim to attract people into branch and build brand warmth through engagement and generosity.

Interactive elements were also developed to create a tool that focuses on providing local information rather than driving banking sales, presenting the constantly changing mood of London.
