Travelodge

Hotel Interiors - Rooms

We have redesigned the Travelodge environment in-line with its new brand identity. We wanted to add value to the customer experience without spending a penny more delivering it. Getting it right is important when you are going to build 10,000 rooms by 2010!

We wanted to create a room that contained no more or less than any guest needed for a great nights rest. We did this by taking time to understand what customers needed and then rationalising the contents of the room to ensure there was no wasted space or equipment.

Travelodge

Hotel Interiors - Bar

The bar space for Travelodge has transformed through the day and night into a space that can cater for everything from serving breakfast to lunch or just a nightcap. We wanted to create a welcoming space whatever the time of day and whether the customer is a lone traveller or in a large group.

We divided the space into both open dining and private seating areas. The space combines a neutral canvas of warm grey tones with Zebrano timber and splashes of red to add colour and texture. We created artful graphic panels and softened the large glass windows with leaf patterns.

The University of Nottingham

We designed a flexible exhibition space within the University of Nottingham to help showcase the University's latest technologies, inventions & expertise arising from research. The aim was to create a multi-functional space comprising of exhibits about technologies at stages of development from early invention to a spin-out company and meeting facilitation space. An exhibition kit was designed & created enabling parts to move out to remote locations on the campus. A strong physical identity was created along with graphic templates to help deliver information in a consistent and structured way.

Royal Doulton

Head Office Redesign

We were approached by Royal Doulton to help them design their new head office following their acquisition by Wedgwood. We developed a materials palette to reflect the brand palette that had white at its core.

We encouraged the team to display fascinating objects from its archive to illustrate the company's innovative approach to product development. We chose to create a unique three dimensional wall tile based on a Minton floor tile that was manufactured in the Doulton factory. We created a reception, work and showroom spaces.

Clifford Chance

Interior Graphics

After being recommended by Barclays, we were asked to look at branding the Clifford Chance Headquarters at 10 Upper Bank Street. Following this we were invited to pitch on the Academy...we won! We looked at ways of instilling confidence in its value as an area for training, and how to create an inspirational destination.

We reconfigured the space to create a hub to both meet in and navigate from. To date, the Academy team are thrilled with their new environment, as are the delegates. Feedback is that people can't wait to get there!

Kickers

Shop-in-Shop Design

Following a successful creative pitch to design retail furniture to showcase Kickers products, we developed a textural and fresh kit of parts that can be used in a shop-in-shop or own brand retail environment.

Each element, from the contours of the furniture edging to the use of coloured layers within the design, was inspired by details found within the classic kick high boot.

The furniture elements were showcased in a bespoke stand design for Moda then fully rolled out across third party retailers.

Yorkshire Museum

Learning Level

As part of the extensive refurbishment programme we were asked to create a space that is accessible to visitors of all ages from school groups to retired enthusiasts.

The Learning Level is centred around the museum's beautiful balcony; featuring ornate columns. A graphic timeline plotted the history of Yorkshire through prehistoric, roman and medival periods.

The project consisted of a new visual identity, navigation & full graphic interpretation
